So today is my one year blogiversary. I’ve been writing on this blog for a year and first of all I have to say I’m surprised but glad that I have persisted and kept writing consistently throughout the year. Normally this is the kind of thing I would pick up and put down when other distractions came along and would never pick it back up again. The name has changed a long the way, from Scottish Muslimah to my name J.S. Cherfi, but the purpose has remained the same – simply to share my writing.
I think my passion for writing has only grown and flourished with the more writing that I have done this year. I started writing my novel in January and though I haven’t got as far as I probably would have liked, I am making good progress and I hope to finish (my first draft) soon… Who knows how soon ‘soon’ is. Speaking of, if any kind souls would be interested in test reading my novel (if you are interested in women’s fiction) then please do let me know.
On the blogosphere I have also come across some amazing blogs, some incredibly talented writers and a lot of inspiration. Not only that but numerous amazing people who read my pieces and share their thoughts which always encourages me a tremendous amount and means the world to me.
I guess when I started writing this blog, I knew I would have been happy if even one person ever read any of it, so when my writing moves someone, touches someone or means anything to anybody; that truly fulfils my whole purpose of writing this blog and I hope that continues.
